2017 is almost here…. are you ready?
This is the time of year when many people are celebrating holidays, enjoying some time off, spending time with loved ones, and thinking about New Year Resolutions. What I noticed this year that I have not noticed in the past is that several of my friends (and me, too) are not waiting until January 1st to get started! I did a vision board class two weeks ago and was so motivated by what I’m planning to manifest this year that I didn’t want to wait to get started. I’m 10 days into one of my goals, which was to complete my customized Miracle Morning routine (from Hal Elrod’s book The Miracle Morning) for 30 days in a row. This means that I am already one-third of the way to achieving my first goal… and it feels fantastic!
Do you ever get that gut feeling that something is going to be great? Well, that’s my feeling about 2017. It’s like I just KNOW that this is going to be something significant. This feeling is different than previous years, even though every new year always starts, for me at least, with that hopefulness of dreams fulfilled and a year of love and laughter. As we enter into 2017, I’m putting it out there right now that THIS year is going to be amazing. I’ve done a vision board three of the last four years, and had 10 goals written at the start of every year. However, at the end of the year, only ONE goal had been accomplished each year. I believe the lack of results was my lack of consistency in keeping the vision in my mind and pursuing those goals relentlessly. I didn’t look at the vision boards I created often, and I didn’t keep my goals in front of me. I had them in my mind, but no where else where I would see them regularly.
Not this year, though. In 2017, I WILL accomplish every goal on that list. This time, I didn’t worry about having exactly 10 goals. Instead, I wrote 9 and felt that my list was complete. I created a vision board specifically for my 2017 goals, and was so inspired by it that I made a commitment that for 90 days, I would not invest any time or money unless it was DIRECTLY related to my 9 goals. That might sound simple, but I’m not used to holding myself to that level of discipline (although I really need to), so this will be a true test of just how much I desire to achieve my goals.
I’ll keep you posted! Comment below with what you are going for in 2017!
